Srinagar, Aug 06 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir administration has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and Karmayogi Bharat to improve the training and skill development of government officials. The MoU, according to details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), was signed on August 5 in Srinagar and is expected to promote structured and continuous learning among civil servants in the Union Territory through the iGOT Karmayogi platform, under the Mission Karmayogi initiative. According to Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, the government is committed to enhancing governance through capacity building. He highlighted the role of the General Administration Department (GAD) and the Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD) in ensuring the implementation of this initiative. The signing ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including CBC Member (Administration) Dr Alka Mittal, GAD Secretary M Raju, IMPARD Director General Rehana Batul, Karmayogi Bharat CEO V. Lalithalakshmi, and Joint Secretary CBC S P Roy. An orientation session for Additional and Deputy Secretaries was also held at IMPARD. During the session, officials from CBC and Karmayogi Bharat explained the key features of Mission Karmayogi, with a focus on digital learning and competency-based training. Karmayogi Bharat COO Rakesh Verma gave a live demonstration of the iGOT Karmayogi platform, noting that more than 1.26 crore users across India have already benefited from its self-paced learning system. Officials from J&K confirmed plans to start onboarding government staff onto the platform and to launch learning programs tailored to the region’s development goals—(KNO)
